1. vinatge & pre-loved, not brand new.
please expect signs of age & wear: scuffs, scratches, marks on screens, dust in corners or viewfinders, yellowing plastic/rubber etc.
also, deteriorated/sticky rubber caps will be removed. any bigger quirks will be flagged in the listing.

2. testing & functionality.

each cam is tested for power-on, basic shooting, flash, zoom & playback; once these functions work, we deem the cam FUNCTIONAL (any issues with these functions will be stated in the item description). we do not guarantee any other functions. these are old electronics & their longevity is not guaranteed; they may malfunction over time, battery capacity decreases over time & may need to be replaced<.span class="hover-box">please don't hesitate to reach out if you need help sourcing replacements!

3. physical condition
we clean & inspect each cam thoroughly & will list any major defectsdefects other than the standard signs of age and wear like scuffs, scratches, marks on screens, dust in corners or viewfinders, yellowing plastic/rubber etc. in the item description.

4. no refunds or returns, unless...
we're confident in our testing protocols so we don't accept returns or issue refunds :') UNLESS you provide us with a full unboxing video which includes you showing either (a) that the functions tested for (see above)i.e. power-on, basic shooting, flash, zoom and playback do not work or (b) that there are any major defectsdefects other than the standard signs of age and wear like scuffs, scratches, marks on screens, dust in corners or viewfinders, yellowing plastic/rubber etc. in the physical condition of the cam, AND that we did not mention the non-functionality or major defect.

5. what's in the box?
our cams come with batteries unless stated otherwise OR the cam uses generic batteries.
nothing else is included unless the listing specifically states so, & if we include any chargers, accessories, etc., we cannot guarantee their usability/compatibility; these are just freebies included because we like you.

6. first come first served.
if you're interested, order fast! we have limited stock & some of these cams are no longer in production. we sell to whoever orders & pays first.

7. not sponsored, not affiliated.
all product names, logos & trademarks belong to their respective owners. hippocampercams is an independent project that's not affiliated with any brand mentioned.

tl;dr:
you’re adopting tiny time-capsule gadgets with plenty of character. i’ll always do my best to describe them honestly – if you’re ever unsure, DM me on instagram or tiktok before buying ♡

1. memory cards & files.
if a cam ships with a memory card, we'll format / wipe it before sending. please ALWAYS format your memory cards before shooting, or you risk losing your pics T.T

2. colours, vibes & sample pics.
colours may look slightly different across screens and lighting. sample photos or videos just show the cam’s general vibe & capabilities – they’re not a promise that every shot will look exactly the same.

3. safety stuff.
don’t open the body or try to repair electronics yourself unless you know what you’re doing. keep batteries away from heat/water & remove them if you’re not using the cam for a while to avoid leaks. cams generally don't do well with drops, knocks, water, heat, extreme cold, etc. please treat these senior citizens with care :')

4. payment.
default is paynow / bank transfer in SGD. please always wait for confirmation + final total (including delivery, if any) before sending payment.

5. delivery / meetups.
local SG: default delivery for most cams will be by speedpost mailing at S$6.70.
overseas: default delivery by Singapore Post - price will be based on your location

6. packaging.
cams are wrapped snugly in bubble wrap / padding and boxed. clean packing materials may be reused so we can all be a little kinder to the planet.
